Fast and reliable transportation system is essential for any country for growth and development. Whenever questions arise about either authorities should invest on the rail lines as compared to the roads, people seem to have divided opinion. I
also
partially agree with the given statement and believe that both modes of transportation are necessary and a government should wisely invest in both of them. Let's begin with why a country should allocate funds on the railways. Trains provide comfort for a longer journey as compared to the roads. Most of the rails have different type of coaches

general, and people can book according to their needs and comfort.
Secondly
, trains are big so they can carry more passengers and can be used to transport a hundred of tons of goods from one place to another, which is not possible via trucks. To exemplify, a recent report from the Indian Railways shows that an average train can carry 50 million rupees goods, which is a much bigger amount as compared to the road vehicles.
Thus
, a government should allocate funds on the railways to continue these benefits. Now let's see why the roads are important and a nation should invest in these as well.
To begin

this
is not the case with the buses. Buses are available after every short duration, which provide more comfort to a normal citizen.
Furthermore

For example

. But I believe, roads are equally important and plays a vital role in a nation's development and every nation should allocate a fair amount of fund to these as well.
