WT2 Many people believe that social networking sites (such as Facebook) have had a huge negative impact on both individuals and society. To what extent do you agree?

Although
a massive number of people have been using social media, a group affirms its content has had a negative impact on the community. Not only has it had an individual influence, but
also
on the whole society. I strongly agree with
this
statement due to the fact social sites have a considerable quantity of inappropriate content.
Also
, since the creation of social networking sites has decreased the real interactions among individuals. On one hand, the use of social media has promoted changes in human language and communication ways.
Instead
of expressing an idea by speaking, people prefer to express their feelings or thoughts through posts.
Besides
, some even stop interacting face to face and start communicating through written messages. According to sociologists and web researchers, in the close future, citizen literacy will decrease.
On the other hand
, violent content on web sites has been spreading faster amid users.
Moreover
, inappropriate videos are far more popular than appropriate videos on the Net. It could negatively affect mental health, mainly in younger people, and promote bad behaviour.
