We live in a world of technology these days. While the internet brings with it the clear advantages, the problems in terms of control and security of information outweigh the advantages. To what extent do u agree?

It goes without saying that the contemporary era is that of technological advancement. Owing to the problems that the
internet
has imposed on the confidentiality of sensitive data, its demerits sometimes appear to

, and render the
internet
an indispensable service to humankind. Primarily, the
internet
has almost taken over control of our lives.
This
is because, the users allow it to do so by giving them access to personal information and pictures, which has resulted in the opening of

of the dark web into our lives.
This
enables it to trace and keep a record of every user that enters it.
For example
, a majority of individuals upload their private pictures on Facebook, which may get leaked and fall into

Thus
, the
internet
has inevitably led to serious privacy concerns all over the world.
On the other hand
, the
internet
has some very obvious benefits as well. It helps students in acquiring knowledge, aiding them to complete their assignments on time. It has brought people from different parts of the world closer together, which would have been
otherwise
impossible. Individuals from different age groups can read their favourite books online, at the ease of their homes, without having to go to the libraries. E-commerce is becoming increasingly popular as well. The consumers are provided with an abundance of choices by the retail outlets, which they can peruse as well as purchase.
For instance
, Amazon, which has now become a household name, is a prime example of a one-stop shop.
Hence
, the
internet
has made life easier and more convenient in a multitude of ways. To recapitulate, I strongly opine that the
internet
has a plethora of positive impacts on our everyday life. The concerns of control and confidentiality of the private information raised by it can be managed well if handled prudently and not allowed to overshadow its numerous other benefits.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
