Present a written argument or case to an educated reader with no specialist knowledge of the following topic: The idea of having a single career is becoming an old fashioned one. The new fashion will be to have several careers or ways of earning money and further education will be something that continues throughout life.

People nowadays like to experiment with their
career
choices. They feel it is imperative to have a diversified
career
to become financially successful, and
hence
many are still pursuing
further
education to boost their careers.
However
, I still support having a single
career
. I will discuss both the sides of the argument in the subsequent paragraphs.
Firstly
, unlike in the past, changing a
career
isn't hard as hard as before due to the widespread options we have like the short-term courses which enable us to gain
knowledge
about the particular skill we are interested in. Many companies across India prefer to hire people who are sometimes referred as "Jack of all trades" to a leadership level, these people will have experience in almost all the related fields,
hence
being able to work in many fields is always beneficial for an Individual and will boost his
career
in the future.
Secondly
, learning something new always makes you feel energized and passionate about your work, as it is rightly said no
knowledge
is small, having a single
career
can be very monotonous as you will never learn or experiment anything new and
this
can lead to a stressful life and
one
can
also
lose their interest in work life.
For Instance
in Accenture, India, they have specific HR teams in different human resource fields. Like
one
person would be assigned to sourcing profiles. If he will do that his entire
career he
Accept comma addition
career, he
loses his opportunity to learn the functions, and
also
in the long run he might start disliking HR as a profession.
On the other hand
, if you are involved in sourcing, recruiting, training etc. It will definitely. Help you understand your job well.
Nonetheless
, having a single
career
helps you remain focused and you will have vast
knowledge
in that particular function. Juggling between many jobs may your
career
and while trying to learn and understand many things at a time you might not be able to focus on the right
career
path and
instead
will not be able to learn much of anything. Everyone cannot be the Jack of all trades. So
one
must understand
one
's capability and choose their
career
wisely. To Recapitulate, despite the few disadvantages of having
knowledge
and experience in many careers, it
also
has a wide range of possibilities that
one
must consider. I believe it is imperative to understand's his/her own capabilities and
then
choose
career
accordingly
.
