Too much money is spent repairing old buildings. It would be better if this money was used to knock down old buildings and construct new ones. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Renovation of old structures involve, the use of large funds. Many people believe that it is irrelevant repairing them and that they are better off knocked down to make room for the construction of new ones. I completely disagree,
however
, and will explain why I feel renovating old buildings are important.
To repair the old rather than build a new one, saves money and preserves the environment. It would cost significantly a lot more to hire heavy machineries, such
as caterpillars and bulldozers to destroy an old one and furthermore
, the CO2 produced from these machines, harm the environment. Even if these were not the case, it is still quite costly to erect a new one. This
effectively reduces the amount of resources being used and also
decreases the annual carbon foot print

Therefore
, it is better to restore the old ones we have than to construct new ones.
It preserves the architectural and ancestral values of the place. They come with a lot of historical meaning to different individuals (just like the arts), are passed down to the next
generation, thus
, promoting tourism and then
brings revenue. For instance
, many foreigners go to Europe to visit ancient buildings, such
as the Palace in England, and this
has created a source of income for the nation. If these old buildings were replaced by new ones, tourists will not visit and this
will in turn, lead to a decline in the country's GDP. This
goes to show that the relevance of aged

In conclusion, despite the fact that new building Suggestion
