Fatherhood ought to be emphasized as much as motherhood. The idea that women are solely responsible for deciding whether or not to have babies leads on to the idea that they are also responsible for bringing the children up.
Some people think that, due to the fact that women bear the burden of responsibilities of bringing a baby into
this
world, they should alone take the role in nurturing and upbringing children, yet others argue that fathers should be equally responsible for raising a child. In my opinion, fatherhood is just as important as motherhood, namely because of all-round development of a child’s overall growth.
There is ample evidence to support the fact that the role of a father is absolutely essential in raising an infant. The reason behind this
is twofold, firstly
, it should be the father’s responsibility to provide all needs for not only raising the child but also
nursing the mother. Even though this
may seem as an unfair share of roles already, it is the law of nature that females cannot separate from infants in the beginning, while males are supporting them with everything they require. Secondly and
more importantly, many studies have shown that a father’s involvement is absolutely crucial in a juvenile’s cognitive and physical growth. Accept comma addition
Secondly, and
For example
, when a father plays with his children, feeds them, cuddles and clean them, he is building a very strong bond with them, which may prove out to be quite significant in shaping them to be a confident and responsible adult in future.
Although
there is a case of fathers traditionally being the bread-earners in a family, modern-day mothers career development must not be neglected. Because of demanding careers, it is quite natural that mothers will expect a bit more help from their partner as far as raising an offspring is concerned. For instance
, in Norway, parental leave can be split between parents in a way that after a child is one year old, father can become a househusband while mother is an earning person in a family. Consistent with this
line of thinking is that children will grow a stronger sense of support and security when they see how both their parents enjoy sharing the responsibilities.
To conclude, I firmly believe that fatherhood should be more highlighted and encouraged as this
could greatly help in developing positive streaks in modern children and enabling mothers to pursue their careers.Submitted by dzonik1 on
