has always been controversial. While many people think economic

should be put to a halt for the sake of the

growth

is the only solution

is having detrimental effects on the

. Indeed, to make way for farmland and factories, we burn down forests, destroy habitats and displace various species. To produce and circulate goods faster, we employ millions of trucks and other vehicles which release tonnes of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere. These are only two of the many ways in which humans are damaging the

environment

in favour of economic

growth

. If we do not stop or find a way to limit our impact on the

environment

, the consequences may be catastrophic. With that being said, I believe economic

growth

is the only real answer to

poverty

and

hunger

, we cannot afford to dismiss it. Indeed, different models of wealth distribution have been tried throughout our
