Some people say that it is possible to tell a lot about a person's culture and character from their choice of clothes. Do you agree or disagee?

Some believe that the type of clothes one wears reflects the
culture
and character of that person. I,
however
, do not agree with the statement because nowadays, the effect of globalization has clearly impacted the
choice
of clothes. The best way to know a person's
culture
would be to visit their home country, their house, meet their family, and strike a conversation with them.
To begin
with,
choice
of clothes is governed by the job one is expected to perform. While going to work, people prefer to wear simple, comfortable and formal clothes that do not distract or take them away from their work.
As a result
of which, a pair of trousers and a formal shirt have become everybody's go to
choice
of clothes. A woman may really enjoy donning a saree, which
also
reflects the
culture
,
however
, time constraints in the morning may prompt her to go ahead with a simple western garment.
This
is a reason why cultural clothes have taken a back seat in everyday routine and occupied a special place in special events, gatherings or parties.
In addition
to
this
, many Multi National Companies and offices have a strict dress code and the employees of the organisation have to follow that. As most of the MNCs are US or UK based, the majority of the offices have western garments as their dress codes, despite the sarees or suit being the most popular and prevalent forms of garments worn by women. The dress code includes the men wearing, a formal shirt and a pair of trousers with a tie; and women are expected to wear a formal shirt with a skirt or trousers.
Hence
, there's no reflection of
culture
Suggestion
the culture
from the
choice
of clothes. Admittedly, there may be certain events or ethnic gatherings, where people are expected to wear the traditional clothes.
Such
events may be a platform where people talk about their
culture
, and their clothes scream
culture
identity. To conclude, I believe that the clothes worn these days do not reflect the traditions or
culture
of the nation. There may be other rituals that can tell a lot about their
culture
, which you will get to know once you visit their home country.
