Nowadays, crime novels and

crime dramas are becoming a hit with the masses. It has captured the interest of people across all ages, genders and all walks of life. There are several reasons for

this

peaked obsession with these books and

shows. In

this

article I will be discussing two of them.

First

and foremost is the level of curiosity and intrigue that these Books and

shows generate among the consumers. They contain constructs

such

as plot twists, which keep the audience engaged and craving for more. Like the saying, “curiosity kills the cat”, in these instances the creators use curiosity to captivate the audience. The

reason for their popularity is

shows as usually the characters taking part in these types of media are the ones that we see and interact with every day.

combined with curiosity turns into a very compelling and intriguing story and many a times leaves people wondering if the people around them fit certain profiles.

Shows. Often times, people start to view their acquaintances as a suspect because of the
