Some people think that to produce a happier society we must ensure that there is only a small difference in earning between the rich and the poor. To what extent do you agree?

The society stands polarized when it comes to wealth. Many of the individuals possess a firm belief that there should not be disparity regarding financial status among the people. According to my ideology, people need not be materialistic in order to feel ecstatic and joyful.
Moreover
, if everyone in the world has an equal amount of riches, our focus would shift to living a more meaningful life.
Further
reinforcing my perspective, the separation between these two types of poles apart humans could lead to real problems like increase in crime rate. Because when there is someone who is not even able to fulfil the basic needs of his life, he is forced to do wrong with the one who has a tremendous amount of money that could buy anything and everything. On contrary, many have a notion that the money is earned by hard work and that they have more calibre than the others so, they deserve to have a better lifestyle.
However
,
this
is not 100 per cent wrong to say so.
Also
, the impoverished tend to have a mindset of not to hustle enough and in turn, they have a tendency to lead a life full of regrets and sorrow. In compendium, even though the world has witnessed different kinds of individuals, where some of them became rags to riches and
on the other hand
some turns out to be bankrupt, yet the human race could do better by rising above the urge and greed of materialism and possessions.
