Stress-related illnesses are becoming increasingly common. What do you think the causes of this are and what are some possible solutions?

The way society asks us to be ever more productive, creates a lot of stress for many people.
This
chase of performance and the expectation some people have towards themselves or others has reached a point where most individuals can simply not keep up. A lot of people never take a break from their job, even when they are on holidays they will still answer emails and stay informed with what is going on in their companies. If they don't they believe, that they might lose their position or be considered as not be able to be in charge.
This
unhealthy work environment has somewhat become normal and it is not rare to hear about people burn-out stories.
Furthermore
, the majority of the population live in big cities where there is not much opportunity to unwind. Over time,
this
accumulation of stress becomes unbearable for the body. In my opinion, we should adopt a simpler lifestyle. We do not have to be constantly productive

, is now extremely popular even among people who preach productivity. Yoga as well as other fitness activities have gained in popularity.  While not sufficient, it is still good to see that things start to evolve. Stress-related illnesses are overlooked, and it is very important to realise that we can not continue to put so much pressure on individuals, just for the sake of economic development.
