The bar graph illustrates how many students of both genders at the Redwood Secondary School used the World Wide Web between 1995 and 2002. Overall,

at the beginning of the study the male students tended to use the internet more than the female students,

this

was reversed at the end of the study. Focusing

firstly

on the

first

four years of the period, around 110 boys used the cyberspace compared to girls where only 80 of them used it. Both the genders' usage experienced a steady increase in

number

until 1998 which saw the

number

of female students overtake the

number

of male students in terms of internet usage at 300 and 290 respectively. In regards to the

second

part of the graph, the figures for both went through some fluctuations. In 1999 boys'

number

increased to just above 300 roughly one fifths more than girls. The figures went back and forth over the

next

two years and

finally

ended with more female users at roundabout 325 approximately 5 more than their opposite gender.
