The given line graph and pie chart illustrate and compare the figures for books and the types of books lent by the four village libraries respectively from June to September 2014. Overall, fiction based books were the most frequently issued books. The number of books borrowed from the Ryeslip library gradually declined during the period while those of the Church Mount and the West Eaton increased. The figures of books lent by the Sutton Wood village library fluctuated significantly. In terms of the numbers of books lent by the village libraries, the highest number in June belonged to the Ryeslip (300 per
month
) which drastically reduced to approximately 175 per
month
in September 2014.
Although
the numbers of books borrowed from the West Eaton and the Church Mount libraries were same in June (50 per
month
), both experienced an increase in demand in following months and reached 150 per
month
by the end of September. On contrary, the Sutton Wood library experienced a significant fluctuation in the figures and dipped to its lowest in August (100 per
month
) and reached at its highest in September (300 per
month
). Regarding the types of the book borrowed, the most popular was fiction based (just more than 40%) while the least popular was related to ‘Self-Help’ (10%). While other books based on biography, science and history constituted 19%, 14% and 14% respectively.
