of grave importance to any nation. Who should be responsible for

? Should it be the
government
's responsibility o is it best left to the educators themselves to decide what should be taught and what should not? In
this
essay, I will try to answer these question to reach up to a conclusion. In my opinion, The
government
alone should not be in a position to decide on
schools
' syllabus. The reason for
that is
governments are usually following the ideologies of their political parties. If that
task
was given to a specific
government
, the proposed curriculums might turn out biased towards the ideas of the
government
in charge at the time.
This
is problematic because it does not only affect the quality of the curriculums, but it might be a reason for the
next
government
to try and change the syllabus based on its views. As a consequence, we will end up with political materials rather than educational ones.
