The given pie chart illustrates and compares the distribution of tourists to different places of attraction in Britain in the year 1999. Overall, the most popular tourist site amongst the tourist was the ‘Theme Parks’ followed by the ‘Museums & Galleries’.
To begin
with, three-fourth of the people who visited Britain saw the ‘Theme Parks’ (38%) and the ‘Museums & Galleries’ (37%), collectively. Just less than one in 10 visitors visited the ‘Wildlife Parks & Zoos’ which was the least visited place in 1999. Less than a fifth of the tourists went to the ‘Historic Houses & Monuments’. In terms of the people who visited the ‘Theme Parks’ in the year 1999, the ‘Blackpool Pleasure Beach’ was the most famous place amongst the people as approximately 50% of the tourist who visited the ‘Theme Parks’ went to the beach. The percentage of visitors who visited the ‘Alton Towers’, the ‘Pleasureland, Southport’, the ‘Chessington World of Adventures’ and the ‘Legoland, Windsor’ were 17%, 16%, 10% and 10% respectively.
