Some people argue that in many nations , the number of pupils who opt for science subjects like biology , chemistry , physics , engineering is less as compared to the earlier .

Firstly

, the students feel that the course duration for the subjects related to the science is very long due to which they have to spend a lot of their life's years to get a degree or complete the course .

For instance

, if a student chooses biology as a subject it takes him/her five years to complete the graduation i.e to obtain M.B.B.S degree. And if he/she decides to pursue a specialization , say M.D or D.M it will take him another 5-6 years. So overall the span to complete the studies is too high.

, due to excessive competition at the workplace,many students believe that they are not paid well what they deserve in the industry , which prevents them from opting the science as a career option .

problem and it can have devastating effects like the shortage of skilled labour and affect the development of the nation .
