Today more and more tourists are visiting places where conditions are difficult, such as the Sahara desert or the Antarctic? What are the benefits and disadvantages for tourists who visit such places?

It has been observed that
travellers
around the world are traversing places which have harsh conditions like glaciers, mountains and so on.
This
trend has both merits and demerits which are discussed in subsequent paragraphs. On the one hand, exploring
such
corners of the world have some advantages.
First
and foremost, it gives an adrenaline rush to the tourists who embark
such
journeys. As a matter of fact,
such
an adventurous feeling is not observed in any other sporting activities,
thus
, it acts as a source of pleasure for
such
daring
people
. Apart from
this
, achieving success in these ventures often inspires
people
to think beyond their limits. After reading the success stories of these
travellers
,
people
can motivate themselves to follow their dreams. Yet another benefit of navigating these inhabitable zones is that it can lead to discoveries of new sites and resources.
For example
, America was discovered by Columbus due to his voyage in the sea which was extremely difficult to execute in those times.
This
example was set by him for the
people
to keep working on their ambitions by carrying out
such
a difficult journey.
On the other hand
, there are some downsides of endeavouring to complete these journeys. The prominent one is that many
people
have lost their lives while travelling through difficult terrains. As these places are vulnerable to myriad disasters
such
as avalanches in the glaciers, it is more likely that
travellers
can not make through the whole trip.
In addition
, a large share of resources is spent on the rescue operations carried out for any mishappening during the trips. To illustrate, the Nepal government has a special budget for carrying out search operations in the Himalayan region by helicopters and highly trained force.
This
clearly depicts that resources are being wasted by several countries for escaping
travellers
from
such
places. To encapsulate, travelling through placed having harsh condition provides inspiration and motivation to
people
,
however
, wasting life on these adventurous tasks is somehow seems bizarre, which should be taken care of.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
