One of the consequences of improved medical care is that people are living longer and life expectancy is increasing. Do you think the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?

Nowadays, we can see that the development of
technology
can help people in many aspects, especially in
health
care section.
This
understanding has been believed by many folks and the effect of
this
improvement is that it can increase the way
health
workers treat the patients which may lead to the increasing number of human lifespan and expectancy. So, regarding that matter, in
this
essay, I would like to examine that notion and give a plausible conclusion about it.
To begin
with, it is true that the improvement in medical sector can help many people lives as well as accelerate the finding of new medicines that are really needed nowadays. By doing so, many human lives can be saved and
also
, it can increase the
health
level among the society which can reduce the dead rate.
For example
: before the COVID-19 spreads over the world, the
production
of vaccine rellies heavily on the original virus that need to be weakened, but after
this
pandemic is getting out of control, the scientist finds a new cutting-edge vaccine
production
using m-RNA
technology
. The advantages of m-RNA are, it can be coppied in a massive
production
at the same time and the cost to produce it is so much cheaper than using the old
technology
.
Moreover
, by using m-RNA vaccine, we can roll out the vaccination immediately and prevent others, who are not infected by COVID-19, to stay healthy from
this
killer virus.
However
, there is
also
the disadvantage of
this
view.
Firstly
, as we have known that bad eating lifestyle is very much contributed to our
health
. If
this
habit can not be fixed, there will be another new disease or illness. Why did I say that? It is because of human body is very complex and we can not predict what will happen if we consume a bad or unknown
food
frequently.
For instance
: Based on history of Chinese, in the 20th century, they suffered from hunger and they did not have appropriate
food
to eat.
Thus
, they tried to survive by eating a bizzare
food
such
as bats and after more than a half of century, it turns out that
this
source of
food
inflicts a new disease which is SARS-COVID2 that causes an outbreak in the early 2020. It is true that at the
first
time it was a good source of
food
, but we did not know that
this
animal brings many bad microorganisms that can impact human.
This
means that the development in medical sector is gonna be useless because of a new illness or disease that has not been happened before. It just a matter of time before it becomes a new pandemic. In a nutshell, even the development of medical
technology
can extend the lifespan and human expectancy by accelerating the
production
of drugs, but if our eating lifestyle is still bad and can not be fixed, thar innovation is just an useless thing for us.
Hence
, in the end, in my personal opinion, I think that the advantages of shopisticated
technology
in medical sector will not outweight the disadvantages itself.

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 250 words in writing task 2. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long essay will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 260 to 290 words in writing task 2. This will ensure a concise essay and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 40 minutes to write the essay and you need around 10 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long essay in 30 minutes.
