Some people think that it is better to educate boys and girls in separate schools. Others, however, believe that boys and girls benefit more from attending mixed schools. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Whether to attend the same
gender
or co-educational
school
has become a contentious topic. While some believe that
children
should be taught in separate
schools
, others think that a mixed institution holds several advantages for them. I agree with the latter view.
This
essay will examine both sides of the argument and discuss how mixed education develops self-confidence.
To begin
with, some parents prefer to admit their
children
to same-sex
schools
. They think that
such
schools
help
children
to be more focused on their studies.
For example
, in my country, there are various single-sex
schools
where students perform exceptionally in their exams and are rated as popular
schools
. Studying in mixed education may distract from academics;
therefore
,
this
is why the same
gender
schools
are the priority of some people.
On the other hand
, a growing number of people, including me, believe that it is better for
children
to attend a mixed
school
. Attending
such
school
allows
children
to interact with the opposite
gender
that boosts their confidence.
For instance
, analysts believe that socialisation with other genders during a young age fosters a strong personality which later helps them in personal and professional life.
Hence
,
this
is why most parents opt for
such
school
systems. To conclude, people have miscellaneous views about studying in the same
gender
or mixed
school
. I think the co-education system benefit the overall personality development of a child, which is useful for their later life.

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 250 words in writing task 2. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long essay will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 260 to 290 words in writing task 2. This will ensure a concise essay and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 40 minutes to write the essay and you need around 10 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long essay in 30 minutes.
