You should spend about 40 minutes on this task. Write about the following topic. Are famous people treated unfairly by the media? Should they be given more privacy, or is the price of their fame an invasion into their private life? Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience. You should write at least 250 words.

It is largely believed that
media
create disturbance in the
lives
of famous
people
and treat them in an unfair manner.
However
, some
people
also
argue that
celebrities
have to pay the price of their fame by making their private
lives
a matter of social talk. I consider that
celebrities
should be given more privacy as everyone has a right to enjoy the benefits of privacy. On the one hand, as we know that
media
has changed drastically in the past decades and it tends to focus more on the information that helps them in making money rather than providing relevant
news
. The
media
is more concerned about poking into individuals'
lives
especially into the
lives
of famous
people
. Whether a sportsperson is getting married or a politician is having a family party,
media
captures every bit of information and highlights it to society by creating
news
headlines. Considering a recent example in which a TV actor committed suicide just because the
media
published the
news
of him not qualifying for the government exam. He died of shame because his failure had become the talk of the town.
Hence
the
media
is too much indulged in publicizing the
lives
of
celebrities
that it leads to a detrimental impact on the mental being of famous
people
but
also
their family members.
On the other hand
, these
celebrities
have themselves chosen to publicize their
lives
. They become famous because of the masses who give them love, so, the general public has the curiosity to know about the
lives
of
celebrities
that what do they eat, how they spend their weekends, and so on.
People
consider them as their role models and take inspiration from them for becoming successful. In the conclusion, the
media
is undoubtedly affecting the privacy of the
lives
of famous
people
by treating them unfairly.
Although
the
media
should restrict the interference in the personal
lives
of any famous person,
however
, they cannot completely avoid them. So, I believe that it is the responsibility of the
media
to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the
news
on the individuals and society as a whole before publishing any personal information of
celebrities
.
