It is seen that older adults are not given enough respect and facilities in many countries. What could be reason for this? What are the effects of this?

In a number of countries, the elderly are not treated with deference and not afforded suitable living accommodations.
This
essay will elaborate that, to be specific,
this
may be attributable to the poor upbringing and lack of attention of the younger generation and will, eventually, result in the neglect and deteriorating health of these geriatrics. Parents should teach their children well and raise their understanding that they are obligated to give respect and appropriate care to the elderly.
For instance
, in our family, we have educated our ascendants to do
this
by actually attending to our elders.
Accordingly
, we have shown them a good example of how to make our elders more comfortable in their old age by providing for their physical and mental needs.
Thus
, to increase their feeling of responsibility towards their ascendants, it must be inculcated in the minds of the younger ones. Disregard for the older population usually results in neglect and a fast decline of their well-being.
Similarly
, studies have consistently shown that when an old person is cared for by family, his disposition improves;
on the other hand
, if he is abandoned by family, his will to live disappears.
For example
, in a nursing home, it is often observed that when a resident is visited by his family regularly, he lives longer since he feels that he has a lot to live for; he looks forward to every visit and is excited to meet his family.
In contrast
, a geriatrics who barely sees his relatives is always in a sullen and quiet mood. When he gets sick, his physical decline is fast since he has no will to live. In sum, the lack of information and poor upbringing of the younger people are the usual causes for the disrespect to the older population which most often lead to poor health and neglect of the elderly.
Consequently
, it is expected that with increased perception and responsibility, the elderly will receive more suitable care which redounds to their longevity.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
