In many countries it is now illegal to smoke in public places. It is only fair that people who wish to smoke should have to leave the building. Do you agree or disagree?

Both reading and lecture discuss the pros and cons of exploiting the
ocean
floor. The
author
of the reading states that there is a negative
impact
on exploiting the
ocean
floor.
However
, the
lecturer
believes that it is good for the future.
First
of all, the
author
states that we have to devastate many territories of the
ocean
in order to search for mineral resources. He thinks that it can
impact
the
sea
life in the
ocean
. As the
lecturer
presented, his thoughts are opposed to the
author
. He says that we don’t have to go to a lot of territory for the minerals. He expresses that we have just to take samples of the minerals and it can only
impact
a small amount on the
sea
life.
Secondly
, the
author
mentions that the under the
ocean
can be polluted because of the exploration of minerals. He shows that it can affect the
sea
animals which live under 1000 meters of the
sea
level and it is more than 90 per cent of the
ocean
dwellers. But, the
lecturer
explains that we have to go only for a limited distance and that there would not be a great
impact
.
Finally
, the
author
states that it can lead to the destruction of some of the habitats underwater. He believes that it can be impacted negatively on the ecosystem and farmed fish. The
lecturer
assumes that it can not destroy the habitat. 1He accepts that there is no negative effect on the ecosystem and the quality of the fish meat.
