Old age homes for the senior living community is a common concept which is prevalent among most of the developed nations around the world. While some

people

do not agree with

this

idea and insist that children should always take

care

of the elderly members of their family. We must acknowledge that taking

care

of old parents or grandparents in the family is a great initiative which could bring the whole family together as eventually all children or grandchildren would need to collaborate and allocate responsibilities among themselves.

Moreover

, we must agree that the love and affection and the

care

provided by a family member cannot be compared with the professional or outside service provider

however

in some circumstances it may not be practically feasible for the children to take

care

of a retired family member on their own.

For example

, if an old grandparent has an underlying medical condition

then

external medical support or nurse practitioner may be required to take

care

of him/her on an everyday basis in order to monitor their health statistics and general well-being.

Nevertheless

, in my opinion, I personally feel that it is absolutely acceptable for the senior family member to consider moving to a retirement

home

set up for a plethora of reasons.

Firstly

, if they have a serious health condition

such

as dementia or any physical disability

then

it makes more sense to seek professional help and plan for their accommodation needs

accordingly

Secondly

, elderly

people

usually like to pursue their own routines and hobbies and prefer to spend time with like-minded

people

and generally tend to get along well with the same age group.

However

, at the same time, kids and grandkids should ensure that they make frequent visits to their grandparents' residence and spend quality time with them during the holidays and breaks to keep the family bond and build strong memories. To encapsulate, a retirement

home

is a great concept, it may not work for all sections of the society but

people

should keep an open mind and ensure that elderly in the family are taken

care

of well by the family members irrespective of whether they are staying in a family

home

or living separately in a retirement

home

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:
