, car theft and robbery in Newport city centre between the

2003 and 2012. Overall, as can be clearly seen from the graph,
burglary
experienced a drop over the
year
, while car theft and robbery showed some fluctuation but remained the same. In 2003, car theft started with approximately 2800 incidents,
this
remained unchanged till 2005. From here, it decreased sharply to just over 2000 crimes.
Then
, it exceeds
burglary
in 2007 and showed a gradual increase to 2600 in 2010.
However
, there was some variation but ended with approximately 2800 in the
last
year
. In regards to robbery, it had a

of 600 cases in 2003. Following by a rapid rise to 900 in 2005.

jumped quickly to 700. In 2012, it reached a rate of 600, which was about the same as in the

rate was about 3400 in 2003.
