Some people say that advertising encourages us to buy things that we really do not need. Others say that advertisements tell us about new products that may improve our lives. Which viewpoint do you agree with? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Every business needs
advertisement
in one way or the other, the reason being that
advertisement
serves as a channel to let the
customers
know about the
products
. In
this
essay, I will be sharing my viewpoint on the discussion, whether advertising encourages
customers
to buy things they do not really need or tells the
customer
about new
products
that may improve their lives.
to a
customer
who is a shopaholic may seem like an opportunity to always purchase even when they do not really need the
product
because
advertisement
serves as a drive to them to always shop.
On the other hand
, to a
customer
who is more interested in the importance of the
products
,
advertisement
serves as a channel to know about the
product
. In my own opinion,
advertisement
tells us about new
products
that may improve our lives reasons been that; every business seeks to solve a problem,
therefore
, telling us about the
product
helps to identify the solution to the problem and how it can improve our lives.
Furthermore
, telling us about the
product
can lead to taking an informed decision before purchase, and guiding our decision making. When an
advertisement
focuses on giving information regarding the new
product
, it helps us to know more about the
product
and how it should be used or taken.
Nevertheless
, a
customer
also
has to know what he or she is purchasing it for and if he as well as if she is financially capable to purchase it,
this
will help improve financial life. I remember during the rainy season, I fell sick and contracted a cold. While scrolling on a particular social media platform, I saw an advert on how a particular
product
could help cure the cold and other ailments. I reached out to the
customer
service representative and she recommended the
product
. From that experience, I realized that it is very important that businesses advertise by telling
customers
about the new
product
which is the solution to some people's problems. In conclusion, It is important to know why you are purchasing a
product
,
this
will guide you on how to shop.
On the other hand
, an advertising company should let their potential
customers
know about the
product
so as guide their decision-making.
