People have different expectations for jobs. Some people prefer to do the same job for the same company, while others prefer to change jobs frequently. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

Working long-term for a company or having short-term contracts with different companies remains a source of controversy in the field of
jobs
. In
this
essay, I will analyse both sides and the reasons why I think changing
jobs
frequently is more beneficial for the career path. On the one hand, working for the same business for a long time brings some benefits. The principle one is job security, which is suitable for those who prefer a stable life,
for example
, settled housing.
In contrast
, people who are likely to change
jobs
have to accept stopgaps in their income, by the time they are looking for a new position.
Secondly
, employers tend to consider those who are stable as loyal and more trustworthy,
however
, they are not partial to recruit job-hoppers, not to mention the fees in training them.
On the other hand
, I believe that experiencing various occupations could make rapid progress in their career.
First
of all, working for several corporations would enhance the level of the job performance of the employees. Particularly, in each company, employees can obtain more hand-in experience, and build strong relationships with other colleagues which play an integral part in enhancing their resumes.
Therefore
, they will be able to move up the career ladder in the future,
for instance
, having a chance of getting well-paid positions or more opportunities for promotion. In conclusion,
although
both views certainly have some validity, it seems that it is better to work at different businesses so as to find the most suitable
jobs
.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
