and offer some possible solutions to
this
problem. There are a number of reasons for the rising level of childhood obesity. The
first
reason is unhealthy dietary habits. Nowadays,
children
tend to consume too much fast
food
, candies and sugary drinks. According to the survey from York University, most
children
said that they consume soft drinks and junk foods daily. These foods can cause kids to increase their weight quickly since they are very high in fat and sugars but low in vitamins and nutrients. Another reason is fewer activities in daily life.
Children

instead
of participating in physical activities or doing sports. There are several actions that could be taken to mitigate the problem mentioned above.
Firstly
, it is crucial for parents to control what
children
eat to make sure that they have healthy diets. Parents should
also
educate their kids about the detrimental effects of unbalanced diets so they can have more healthy
food
choices.
Secondly
, it is necessary for parents to restrict the time that
children
spend watching TV or surfing on the Internet and encourage them to exercise and do sports. These activities would help them to control their weight and get better healthy lifestyles.
Finally
, the government
also
could make efforts to limit fast
food
advertising and the amount of junk
food
sold in schools. In conclusion, there are various factors contributing to the increasing obesity rate in
children
and the aforementioned measures can be implemented to tackle
this
issue.
