Many people go to university for academic study. More people should be encouraged to do vocational training because there is a lack of qualified workers such as electricians and plumbers. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Rather than pursuing a job in a trade or occupation, many decide to pursue an academic degree
instead
. While I believe that graduates play a vital role in society, I
also
believe that we should encourage more people to pursue jobs as plumbers, electricians, and other manual labourers, all of whom are critical to the economy's overall health and prosperity. There is a multitude of reasons why more people should be exposed to manual labour education and training. The most important time to employ
such
employees is during the construction of new buildings or houses, as well as during the rehabilitation or simple upkeep of existing buildings or dwellings. It is true that maintenance people are engaged in many countries to ensure the safety of those who work in and reside in hospitals, educational institutions, and museums, among other establishments and facilities.
In addition
, there is a current imbalance between graduate
students
and labour employees in many industrialized countries, which should be mentioned. The number of graduates employed is increasing, and there is a shortage of competent labour in many areas
as a result
of
this
. Increasing the number of schoolchildren who enrol in vocational training courses is something that should be supported. In the
first
place, it is the obligation of schools to alter their curriculums so that the emphasis is no longer entirely on preparation for academic study at the university level. Many
students
are not academically inclined, but
this
should not be construed as a failure on the part of the teaching staff or administrators. ̣̣ Pupils who struggle in academics but thrive at other hobbies
such
as athletics or singing are called "exceptional
students
."
Additionally
, workshops in schools should give
students
the opportunity to build "hands-on skills," which will allow them to apply what they have learned in the classroom to real-world circumstances after they have graduated. Parental guidance in helping their children make professional options is another approach that can be adopted.
This
involves outlining employment opportunities and remuneration for manual labourers who have the proper qualifications and abilities for their children. Having said that, I feel it is vital that we encourage more boys and girls to enrol in vocational courses since society cannot function efficiently unless it has a sufficient number of trained workers.

Support ideas with relevant, specific examples

Examples make your writing easier to understand by illustrating points more effectively.

Examples, if used properly, not only help you get higher marks for ‘Task Response’ but also for ‘Coherence’.

When giving examples it is best to put them after your main idea or topic sentence. They can be used in the middle of supporting sentences or they can be used to start a new sentence. There is no rule for where exactly to give examples in essays, logically they would come after your main idea/topic sentence or just after a supporting sentence.

Linking words for giving examples:

  • for example
  • for instance
  • to illustrate this
  • to give a clear example
  • such as
