Some people think that the media should report details of crime to the public. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

the specifications of offences should be reported to the general public by the
media
. I partially agree with
this
statement.
This
essay will discuss the reason for my partial disagreement On the one hand, It spreads awareness to the general public. It means people become more cautious by thoroughly understanding the criminal activity telecasted by the
media
.
As a result
, a precautionary measure is taken by the general public to avoid
such
criminal instances that may happen with them.
For instance
, CCTV footage of a child being kidnapped from the doorstep of a house in Delhi was showcased by
media
that spread a message to all the parents to be more attentive towards the safety and security of their offspring.
On the other hand
, a crime reported by
media
can
also
have some detrimental consequences which ensure it should not be telecasted by
media
to the public. Some time a manipulative report is presented under political pressure. It means when a political party that supports a
media
channel commits any crime
then
the actual incident is often misrepresented by
media
to the general public to descreet the reality and to save a guilty criminal.
For instance
, an incident where some homeless people sleeping on a footpath were killed by a drunken driver who was claimed to be the son of a reputed politician was telecasted by one biased
media
channel where those poor were blamed for sleeping on a footpath and not the actual culprit for driving recklessly while being drunk. Conclusively,
although
the details of an offensive instance report to the general public by
media
can make the public cautious, it can
also
spread a wrong detail of a crime in some cases.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
