I am a food lover and I spend most of my leisure hours to travel place and try different restaurants in my country.

As a result

, I have eaten in hundreds of diners but I find The Deck House in Hoi An as the best one. Our family accidentally found the

restaurant

with a view to looking for a lunch place on the

last

day of Tet Holiday. Generally, people visited

this

spot as it was located in between the fabulous city of light and traveling- Da Nang and its older brother and

also

the French’s favorite city- Hoi An.

Nevertheless

, people mostly came here for the view which I will later discuss about. On the outside, the

restaurant

looked like an old open bar with rusty wooden door frames and adjacent was a public toilet. The menu in the front door said they served both traditional and western

foods

, which is fine for our family,

however

, the price of the

foods

costed an arm and leg. My parents were not thrilled yet had no choice but to step inside. The

first

impression of the spot when we accessed the indoors was a fresh scent of burned coal and mixed alcohols. At that moment , all of us opened our mouths in awe: the

restaurant

looked cozy and beautifully decorated with bamboo chairs, white pillows and wooden countertops. Despite its filthy look from the outside, the inside is spacious and positively clean. Noticing that it was almost full, we quickly rushed to grab a space in the corner. A server gave us the menu and we ordered a tumeric smoked fish and seafood soup. Looking out of the window, we were amazed by the spectacular view it gave: turquoise beach sparkling under the harsh sunlights, white sands and fishes swimming in groups can be saw if you focused. And we really enjoyed the food in spite of its expensiveness.
