In spite of the advances made in agriculture, many people around the world still go hungry. Why is this the case? What can be done about this problem?

In today’s world, the agriculture sector is majorly growing and
food
production has
also
increased but, the public is suffering from hunger.
This
is a major concern of the country’s
population
and needs attention. The root cause and solutions of
this
problem are discussed in the upcoming paragraphs. Primarily, the main cause of
this
concern is an increase in the
population
. The
population
in different countries is growing day by day due to which there is a scarcity of
food
.
Moreover
, the cost of production of
food
is increasing due to which market value of
food
is
also
increasing and poor people can not afford these meals. Apart from
this
, there is a storage problem in the countries as these cereals are of perishable nature and due to which sometimes
food
gets damaged due to moisture and other climatic conditions.
For instance
, in our vicinity, there was a cold storage house, and rainwater entered the building due to which tons of grain got damaged.
However
, every problem has a solution. So, the governments of concerned countries should take some positive measures to cope up with
this
major concern.
First
of all, few schemes should be introduced to control the
population
as rewards should be given to the small families by which other people can
also
be encouraged.
Secondly
, the proper check should be there as every storage house has a proper system to store the cereals safely.
For example
, as the Indian government is providing meals at low cost to poor people, similar steps can be taken by authorities around the globe.
In addition
to
this
, the government should curtail the exportation of
food
products so that its own
population
can consume enough
food
. To conclude, I would like to say that as everyday advancements are made in the agricultural sector to increase
food
production
similarly
such
advancements should be made in the government policies.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
