These days, it is common to find people debating on whether formal education or a
job
directly from school leads to a successful career. The root of the argument lies in the fact that it is easy to find real-life examples in
both
cases. In the following paragraphs, I will discuss
both
sides and conclude with my opinion on the same. The opinion that a
job
directly after school is the best route to a fruitful career may involve the recognition of the fact that people who have hands-on experience generally perform better in a given task than those who just have theoretical understanding.
Moreover
, in a
job
an individual faces and solves real problems that an organisation or a business faces versus simulated ones provided at university or a college. Many companies, nowadays, do not even check academic credentials if a candidate has relevant skills required for the
job
. Google is one
such
example. On the flip side, not every industry is privileged enough to provide
job
opportunities straight out of school.
For instance
, medical practitioners need to have a degree certain understanding and knowledge before handling practical cases.
Additionally
, universities and colleges have been preparing people for centuries for the
job
market. There are numerous benefits of preparation under simulated environments
such
as freedom to be creative in problem-solving which might not be possible in a
job
. Along with the studies, youngsters sometimes develops or find their passion for different subjects
such
as art, theatre, singing etc. In my opinion, there are relevant benefits of
both
sides and if possible authorities should try using
both
for the benefit of the students.
For example
, a few universities provide students with an option to opt for industrial internships that help students to gain theoretical knowledge as well as practical skills required for the jobs in future.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
