The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year.

the given blueprint depicts how the Southwest
airport
will have been renovated by the time the redevelopment completes in the upcoming year. Overall, the
airport
facilities are going to be improved by the addition of an ATM, car hire service, shops, bag drop and an additional café. Despite these significant changes to its facilities, the
airport
will retain most of its key elements. the most salient feature of the project is that the number of gates will be almost doubled. The location of departure and arrival entrances will remain the same;
however
, there is a plan to add an extra door for each of them. In terms of projected alterations in the arrivals
area
, there will be a car hire service to the right of the exit doors, which necessitates expanding the
area
in the bottom left-hand corner of it. A café will be opened up in the top left-hand corner of the arrivals
area
. Passengers arriving in
this
area
will
also
find an ATM
next
to the café. Turning to the future departure hall, upon entering the
airport
people will find the café on the right side, which are going to be moved there after the renovation.
This
area
will,
moreover
, have a bag drop on the left side, taking the place of the check-in counters, which in turn, they will be relocated to the other side, in the top left-hand corner. The most striking alteration is to the
airport
’s gate
area
.
This
area
will be expanded, with the main hall bifurcating in two directions for new gates.
As a result
of
this
extension, passengers will benefit from a transit system, Skytrain, which is going to be installed, as opposed to the present walkway
