In some countries, more and more people are becoming interested in finding out about the history of the house or building they live in. What are the reasons for this? How can people research this?

Many people are interested in the background stories behind their homes like a house or a building.
This
essay examines the reasons and where people can research
this
topic. Some of the reasons might be films and social.
Firstly
, the influences from films
such
as movies, television shows, or series can impact the audiences.
For example
, a horror movie explains a family moving into a house that used to be owned by a lost family.
This
creates wonder to the audiences which might encourage them to be thinking what if there is
also
an interesting story behind their houses.
Secondly
, the social becomes interested in the unexpected stories
such
as the history of their homes. People possibly want to know what happened to their
places
before they moved in and bring
this
up during their family dinner or group gathering.
For instance
, at a family union, each family member is moved out to a different part of the country. Sharing stories like the history behind their
places
is an interesting conversation starter.
Furthermore
, the history of popular
places
can be easily found in some books at a library, but for some of our homes might never be written down or mentioned in any article before. To know what had happened in the past of our
places
, we can talk to our neighbours who have been living in that area for a long period of time.
Additionally
, if there is any store or shop around your home that have been opening for a while, talking to the owner about the past of the place is
also
another source of information.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
