Some people think that mental strength is the most important factor for success in sports. However, some others believe that it is more important to have strong and fit people. Discuss both views and give your opinions.

In
this
contemporary world, sports play an important role in our daily life. Some
people
believe that to excel at sports, athletes should have strong physical well-being while others opine that mental
health
is more crucial. In
this
paragraph, I will discuss both sides of the argument. On the one hand, having physical
strength
enables
people
to do many things.
Firstly
, healthy physical conditions empower athletes to finish heavy tasks.
For instance
,
people
with proper training can easily beat amateurs in competitive games like boxing, football, soccer and so on.
Besides
, having physical
strength
will prevent
people
from many diseases. These
people
have a stronger immune system, always fit so that they do not suffer from diabetes, obesity and other
health
problems. Benefits that physical well-being convoys
people
are considerable. In spite of the above arguments, having excellent mental
health
is as vital as having tough physical
strength
. The
first
merit of all is the advantage of having good brain training brings undeniable advantages when participating in mind games.
For example
, playing chess will require a bright mind more than physical
strength
.
Also
, having a top-tier muscular system but without a stable mind is a huge detriment when playing sports. Some
people
with powerful bodies but who cannot manage their feelings are a huge drawback. They will not be able to cooperate with other teammates and split bad words in a couple of game situations. For all the aforementioned reasons, both mental
strength
and physical
strength
can be trained and it is important to merge the advantages of both mental and physical
health
.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
