You have been doing some voluntary work to help your local community. However, now you are unable to continue doing this work. Write a letter to the manager of the organisation where you have been working. In your letter describe the work you have been doing explain why you can no longer do this work recommend another person who is interested in the work

Dear Patrick, Hope
this
letter finds you well and safe. It was lovely seeing you
last
Thursday. I am writing you
this
letter because, as I mentioned, I am no longer available to volunteer for "Together we can" and I wanted to make it official. I am extremely grateful for my participation in so many great projects.
However
, I am about to start working full-time for a new non-profit organisation back home. While I obviously feel extremely anxious to leave, I am confident that through
this
new job I will be able to help even more communities in need. As you know, my country is full of injustice and I strongly feel that
this
opportunity will allow me to make an impact in the world. Over the
last
few years volunteering and helping others, I discovered my passion. Serving food to the homeless of our neighbourhood, finding them improved housing options and educating them to find a job, has been a dream come true and, I have to thank you for that. Numerous times, I have been thinking about a possible candidate to cover my place, and I now believe I found the right person: my dearest friend John. He is immensely hardworking, constantly looking to assist others and willing to go the extra mile to do it. I have already talked to him and he will be contacting you shortly. I sincerely think that he will be a great fit. Hope you understand my decision and that one day, in the new future, we can work together again. I am looking forward to seeing you soon Best, Sonia M.

Use a variety of complex and simple sentences

You should use complex sentences in your writing, but it does not mean that you should try to make all of our sentences complex.

‘Complex’ sentences are not actually very complex; they are just two or more simple sentences put together. Putting them together makes the essay more coherent and cohesive.

Examples:

I really want to study but I’m too tired.

I wore a warm coat because the weather was cold.

If action is not taken soon on climate change, global warming will get worse.
