Some people think that teachers should be able to ask disruptive children to leave the class. Do you think is it the best way to deal with a disruptive child in the classroom? What other solutions are there?
One of the fundamental truths of a classroom is that there will always be a disruptive child. It could a comedian, a bully, or just a kid who refuses to obey the
teacher
. Whatever their role
may be one thing is guaranteed they are there in the class
. Some believe the right way
to deal with them is to ask them to leave a class
. In this
essay, we shall look into the best way
to deal with a rowdy youth in the class
.
First
and foremost, the role
of a teacher
is to pass on knowledge to their students. Sometimes some youngsters may not understand what is being taught, or maybe they are facing problems at home so they lash out. Some teachers call these pupils out in front of their peers, which causes them to be embarrassed resulting in them becoming more troublesome. For example
, when I was in school, we had a Polish boy, who was very smart, but because of problems with his parents getting divorced, he never really applied himself in school and instead
focused his energy on trying to annoy the teachers.
The best way
to deal with a situation as such
is to speak to the individual separately away from the busyness of a lecture hall and speak to them, not as a teacher
but as a concerned adult. It is surprising to know that many cases of youth rebellions in the classroom, can be solved by just talking about it. In the instance of the example given above, the behaviour of the student got to a stage where he was dismissed to the headmistress's office. On further
investigation, she found out the cause, and the student was back in class
.
In conclusion, the acquisition of knowledge is the role
of a student, but some situations disrupt a child's ability to learn. It is the role
of a teacher
to determine the cause and find out the best way
to address it head-on, rather than having them removed from the homeroom.Submitted by Nigelvictorlawrence on
