Many students find it difficult to concentrate or pay attention in school. What are the reasons? What could be done to solve this problem?

In today’s society, paying attention to lessons is becoming much harder for
students
.
This
essay will explain the possible factors behind
this
trend and put forward practical measures. On the one hand, there are a variety of elements contributing to
this
issue. A compelling one is the effect of distractors. To illustrate, except for listening to
teachers
,
students
can chit-chat with their peers,
thus
, they will not receive any knowledge throughout classes.
Besides
, other activities including break times,

concentration during the lesson. Another merit is that, an inappropriate curriculum of the
school
. To justify
this
, the
school
provides
students
with heavy workloads and hectic schedules,
accordingly
, these factors take tolls on
students
’ mental capabilities and attention spans.
Moreover
, unappealing classes (
teachers
do not interact with
students
, lectures are boring, etc) can let
students
lose their passion for studying.
On the other hand
, there are some possible approaches to deal with
this
phenomenon.
Firstly
,
teachers
can enhance lessons to become visualized and make more interactive lessons materials.
For instance
, before lectures,
teachers
will let
students
play warm-up games
such
as Kahoot, Quizlet, and quizizz.
Additionally
,
teachers
can bolster the curriculum by receiving regular feedback from
students
. Apart from that, schools’ principals can strike a balance between work and play.
For example
, they can lessen the study time in
school
to help
students
have more time to practice and relax.
Moreover
,
teachers
can provide some lectures to raise
students
’ awareness about the negatives of excessive games and other recreational activities, especially during
school
time. Taking a glance at the preceding points,
students
find difficulty concentrating in
school
is a serious phenomenon in society. From my perspective, I regard
this
issue brings manifold drawbacks and it will provide negative impacts for the younger generation.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
