Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the
computer
I have bought from your shop. I am truly disappointed with your company since I have been a regular customer for over 5 years now and I have never had this
kind of problem before. I strongly believe I deserve better treatment.
Last
month, at the beginning of October, I walked to one
of your companies' stores searching for a computer
to acquire, since my last
one
has just got broken. Thus
, I found a white state-of-the-art Mac OS X with the most advanced system, just the one
I was looking for, and decided to buy it. However
, the minute I returned home and tried to turn it on, I noticed it was not working in the way it was supposed to. Just half of the screen was appearing to me, as the other half, on the right side, was not showing me anything at all, but it was only a black space.
Therefore
, two weeks ago, I contacted the representative of your company, who oriented me to return him the product. Thus
, he told me he would send it to the technical department, in order to get it fixed. Nonetheless
, I did not receive any news about it since then
. I feel really damaged with all this
situation since I am a businesswoman and I must have a computer
available in order to do my work, as right now I am not able to do it.
In this
way, I would like your enterprise to provide me, immediately, a temporary computer
, while the one
I had just bought is being fixed. If this
would not be possible, I am going to ask you to give all the money I have just spent on it back to my bank account, as a full refund. Enclosed with this
letter is the receipt from my acquisition, as my financial information for the deposit.
Should you have any questions, do not hesitate in contacting me any time via email at [email protected] or over my cellphone at 986345288.
I look forward to having a swift resolution for this
matter.
Yours Faithfully,

Structure your letter
A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:
- A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
- The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
- A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)
When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.
All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
