Write a letter to the editor of the magazine, In you letter • Correct the information in the article • Explain why it is important for the magazine to give correct information • suggest what the magazine should do about this situation
Dear Sir or Madam,
This
letter is being written to you in regards to deceptive information
published in your well-renowned magazine named 'The Indian Times'.
Yesterday, while reading your magazine I came across a piece of untrue information
regarding the migration of special species of birds in my hometown. It was written that black crows start visiting Chandigarh from June till August but it is not factual. In reality, they visit in February.
As you must be aware of fact that Chandigarh is one of the favourite tourist spots for visitors. They mainly come to glance at birds. But, this
wrong information
will misguide them ultimately, it will have bad impact on tourism sector of our city. More than fifty-per
cent of the population depends on tourism for bread and butter.
I would like to suggest you publish true Correct your spelling
fifty per
information
in highlighted words in the next
monthly edition of your magazine so that the visitors could plan their visit based on the right data.
I hope you will keep my points in consideration and will make the required changes for the next
edition .Please try to recheck before publishing any vital information
.
Yours faithfully,
