Overall, Australia is the most sought destination whereas the USA and New Zealand share the spoils as the least desired by emigrants. The graph shows that Australian figures were similar across the years ranging between 40 and 45

incomers except for 2006 where it recorded above 50 000 people,

the highest compared to other countries. Spain's numbers were

also

equally fluctuating at the same level, around 35

immigrants but it ended the period under survey with a lower rating, slightly below 30

. New Zealand's graph experienced a steady drop from the start to the end with its statistics staying at approximately 20, 000 incomers across the years. The USA had its highest reception of about 25

foreigners in 2004 and 2006.

This

figure is almost equal to the greatest achieved by New Zealand, but the Americans

also

received the lowest overall total for all destinations, just under 20

thousand

visitors. France's distribution indicates that it had a sharp rise from 2004 to account for its peak number of 33

thousand

migrants or so in 2005. The pattern

then

dropped drastically so that it had its least stat in 2007 which nearly matches the USA's 2005 stat.
