Write a letter to invite a famous person to give a speech at a meeting in your youth club. In your letter, you should: -introduce your club -explain why you want to invite him/her -tell him/her about the arrangement for the meeting

Dear Ms Streep, I am writing to make a formal request to invite you to give a speech in my filmmaker youth club, as you are a very respectful and well-known actress that can inspire our children in their future careers as actors and actresses.
Firstly
, it is important to explain to you the goals of the youth club. It is a voluntary association, sponsored by retired famous people that used to work in the
third
art business. Our meaning is to help teenagers who are just about to finish their filming college to improve their skills by giving them the best perspective of the reality of the acting world, from the ones who have already worked in it, as spreading out the importance of
this
kind of entertainment. So on, the club is going to make a fraternization event "Night with starts" to reunite all the students and staff as the
last
lesson for the end of the year.
Consequently
, as you are one of the most famous actresses in the whole world, our youngers would be very grateful for hearing your advice. The pupils
also
look for some recommendations on how they can improve their speeches abilities and surpass the fear of public speaking. We would really appreciate it if you could participate in that. The Night with Stars will take place in the Abberhund Theatre, downtown, in New York. It is scheduled to start at 9 pm, but your speech is just going to happen at 10 pm. When you arrive, you can request for Ms Smith to guide you to your private dressing room. If any special request is demanded, your counsellor may contact me through
this
email or on my phone at 526959832. I look forward to receiving your response to the invite. We are all really excited to have the honour of receiving your presence. Best regards, Anna

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
