Some people say that the best way to improve public health is by increasing the number of sports facilities. Others, however, say that this would have little effect on public health and that other measures are required. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

A group of
people
present the view that having access to a wide variety of
sports
facilities can lead to boost healthy
lifestyle
among communities, whereas others believe these methods are not useful for having good public
health
and there should be other ways to achieve
this
goal. I strongly agree with the latter opinion. On the one hand, some
people
justifiably argue that increasing
sports
facilities can not be the sole way to improve public
health
.
Therefore
, we need to more strong reasons to increase
health
in the societies.
Firstly
, public awareness about the numerous negative effects of a sedentary
lifestyle
should be increased.
Thus
,
people
will be encouraged to go on a healthy diet or take up exercise so as to prevent suffering from
health
problems in the long run.
Secondly
, due to the fact that most
people
spend a sizable amount of time at work, employees should consider some tight laws in order to boost the level of
health
in their employments.
On the other hand
, another group of
people
claim that rising the number of
sports
equipment has a positive effect on the level of society's
health
. Since
people
can have easy access to the
sports
facilities, they will probably use these things to obtain a good shape.
However
, I do not find
this
argument convincing as we can see, nowadays, most
people
have their personal equipment in their home but they rarely use them for burning some calories. To conclude, in my view, individuals should be encouraged to follow a healthy
lifestyle
. If
people
become aware of the adverse effects of a sedentary
lifestyle
, they will be more likely to go on a healthy balanced diet as well as do exercise on a regular basis so as to improve their
health
.
Moreover
, widespread access to several kinds of stuff of
sports
can not be the only solution.
