Your local council is considering closing a sports and leisure centre that it runs, or order to save money. Write a letter to the local council. In your letter: Give details of how you and your friends or family use the centre Explain why the sports and leisure centre is important for the local community Describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closes

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to you about the closure of the local
sports
and
leisure
centre
decision to reduce cost, which is run by the council. My family and neighbours are using
this
sport and
leisure
centre
for different purposes. Kids are using the
centre
to enhance their sporting skills whereas adults are using it to maintain physical fitness for both males and females. For the local
community
, the
centre
is important as it is the only available place in the county where all the facilities related to
sports
and
leisure
activities are offered. If
this
facility is closed down
then
, private companies will soon offer these services at high prices, which
this
poor
community
cannot afford. Closure decision of the
centre
will have different effects in the
community
as the young will be diverted to drugs and others addiction from
sports
while adults will lose a place to maintain their physical fitness ,
therefore
, different sorts of disease will increase government’s medical expenditure in my view. So, we are requesting not to close the local
sports
and
leisure
centre
of our
community
. We are awaiting your response
