Some people say that protecting the environment is the government's responsibility, others believe that every individual should take responsibility for it. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

In
this
era of industrialization,
people
are forgetting to protect the
environment
. Many individuals argue that only
government
should take care of the
environment
whereas a sizable group of
people
claims that the protection of the
environment
is the job of every human on
this
planet. I have explained my points of view on both sides and provided my opinion in the
further
paragraphs To commence with, the
government
has power, resources and technologies which can be utilized in mitigating the adverse
effects
of pollution.
Moreover
, authorities can
also
implement new policies on greenhouse gas emission which can be advantageous for decreasing the production of poisonous gases.
For example
, the
government
of Canada passed the policy in the year 2005, under which all businesses must have to reduce their carbon gas emission to 25% and to achieve
this
the
government
providing them with technologies and various effective techniques.
This
shows policy-makers can bring changes very large scale. On the other side, human beings have
also
needed to pursue many small responsibilities for a better
environment
.
For instance
,
people
can reduce the use of coal in heating houses,
instead
, they can use electric heaters that will be helpful to reduce the production of carbon dioxide.
In addition
to that,
people
should travel more in public transport
instead
of purchasing and using personal vehicles. The changes in these little habits can make positive
effects
on weather and the
environment
. In my opinion, humans and governments both play a vital role in the environmental changes so both bodies should try together to save our earth from the negative
effects
such
as global warming, greenhouse
effects
, lower groundwater levels and polluted natural water resources.

Include an introduction and conclusion

A conclusion is essential for IELTS writing task 2. It is more important than most people realise. You will be penalised for missing a conclusion in your IELTS essay.

The easiest paragraph to write in an essay is the conclusion paragraph. This is because the paragraph mostly contains information that has already been presented in the essay – it is just the repetition of some information written in the introduction paragraph and supporting paragraphs.

The conclusion paragraph only has 3 sentences:

  • Summary
  • Restatement of thesis
  • Prediction or recommendation

Example:

To summarize, a robotic teacher does not have the necessary disciple to properly give instructions to students and actually works to retard the ability of a student to comprehend new lessons. Therefore, it is clear that the idea of running a classroom completely by a machine cannot be supported. After thorough analysis on this subject, it is predicted that the adverse effects of the debate over technology-driven teaching will always be greater than the positive effects, and because of this, classroom teachers will never be substituted for technology.

Start your conclusion with a linking phrase. Here are some examples:

  • In conclusion
  • To conclude
  • To summarize
  • Finally
  • In a nutshell
  • In general
