You should spend about 20 minutes on this task. You recently attended a conference and you would like to give a presentation about the information you gained by attending the conference. Write a letter to your manager asking for permission to give a presentation. In your letter: describe what type of presentation you have in mind what topics it would cover and how long it would take who should participate in the presentation and where should it be conducted You do NOT need to write any address. You should write at least 150 words
Dear manager,
I am writing now to request permission on your side for an educational presentation. It will include information about the Modern Frameworks for water resources management and the available data sources for the study.
Furthermore
, I predict that it will take only 1 hour, by which I will introduce it in front of the management members in the meeting room.
First
, I wish to perform an educational display around the information that I have gained from the conference. Recently, I have attended that seminar which I found very valuable and useful to our work.
In addition
, I will cover very interesting topics during the meeting. Mainly, I will talk about the recent frameworks used in managing water resources. Moreover
, there will be a section concerned with the latest and obtainable data sources required. Just to note that the show will not take more than 1 hour.
However
, I prefer to display these details in front of the administration department only. Also
, it will be perfect if it is possible to convene at the meeting sector in your office.
I really appreciate it if you accept my request.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,

Structure your letter
A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:
- A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
- The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
- A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)
When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.
All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
