In your letter, • describe the problem with the equipment • explain how this problem is affecting your work • say what you want the shop or company to do

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to explain my dissatisfaction with the headphone that was supplied by your company. I am unable to hear properly with
this
equipment as it is impacting my daily work life. Please allow me to explain. I am working from home and my job is entitled to answer calls from customers. In order to make my job ,comfortable I preferred to purchase a headphone from your company.
However
, I am experiencing difficulties hearing the customer on call.
Moreover
, everyone had complained to my manager about the communication challenges which they had experienced only with me. It is highly impacting my day-to-day operations. I would be grateful if you could replace the device as it has a warranty and it was purchased recently. I have attached the order of receipt for your reference. I look forward to hearing from you. Yours faithfully, Jeevitha.S

Word Count

IELTS says that you should write a minimum of 150 words in writing task 1. If you go under word count you will lose marks in task response.

A very long letter will not give you a higher band score.

Aim for between 160 to 190 words in writing task 1. This will ensure a concise letter and will be realistic in terms of time management. You have only 20 minutes to write the letter and you need around 5 minutes of planning time, so you will not be able to write a long letter in 15 minutes.
