state your opinion. Is Brandy Melville body-shaming?

Personally, no, Brandy Melville is not a
body
-shaming company. Yes, its products are mainly one size, but that does not mean they are
body
-shaming. The company is famous for its one size and vintage-inspired clothing. Even though some may say
otherwise
about the style, it is said to be inspired by the early 80s, while others might say 2000s. With the iconic low-waisted jeans, mini skirts, and boat necklines they quickly started trending in 2009 and peaked in sales in 2019. They are
also
known for their sizing. Most of the products being one-sized has caused some controversy as to if Brandy Melville is
body
shaming or not. In my logic, no, Brandy Melville is not
body
shaming and is simply selling clothes to skinny girls. It's wrong to call something "
body
shaming" just because you have displeasure or are mad for not fitting in their clothes. The brand is made for specific girls and that's about it. It's not illegal nor rude for a store to have one size and you shouldn't add labels or cancel just because you are displeased. You can always go to the store
next
door where they sell all sizes if you are mad rather than search for a place to make a scene or cause a fit. By providing one-size clothing, they are neither promoting
body
positivity nor
body
-shaming. It's simply selling clothes made for certain people.
