Today, children are spending much more time watching TV compared to the past. Why do you think this happens? Is this a positive or negative change?

In
this
fast-moving world,
television
has become most popular among
children
in many countries. It is more common at the present
time
for
children
to watch
television
for a longer
time
than a decade ago.
This
essay will not only highlight the reasons which are associated with
this
issue but
also
examine the consequences of
this
worrying trend. There are two prime reasons that can be attributed to
this
situation. One of the
first
reasons is that in
this
materialistic era both husband and wife go out for work and they do not have
time
to interact and socialize with their offspring.
For instance
, one recent study conducted by Harvard University revealed that 80% of teenagers are engaged with TV programs because their both parents are doing jobs. Another reason is related to bad weather and pollution. Due to day by day raising global warming, some parts of the area are scorching, so it would be intricate for kids to play outside.
Thus
,
children
spend their enormous
time
watching TV. Despite
this
, the change of
this
has been and will be continued to a very serious.
Firstly
, it would be negatively impacted
children
, especially mentally and physically. If they more connect with
television
, lack of communication with elders and less interaction with friends are observed in
children
. To
further
corroborate the above view, a Health Alumni Study (2012) confirmed that owing to improving technology in TV programs, these days
children
become less sociable as it was seen rare a decade ago.
Last
but not least, they are certainly addicted to serials and movie programs, which would be an adverse effect on the study, and
also
there are chances to suffer from eye fatigue and the mentally ill. The more addiction to
television
, the more health complications are there. In conclusion,
this
essay highlighted the main clue behind
this
happening because of weather conditions and working parents, and
also
presented some effects which are less socialise and health problems.
