Dear Mr Aman,
I am writing
this
missive to let you know that I won't be able to give my thesis presentation on 21st March 2022 because ,on the same date,my sister's marriage has been scheduled.Besides
, I will be leaving my hometown along with my parents on 19th March 2022.Thus
, it will be very hectic as well as difficult for me to present in such
circumstances.
Neither,I had missed any homework nor I have asked for the time extension when you alloted our assignments.Apart from this
,I was the topper in your subject in the previous semester.
Also
,I have received several awards in cricket competitions.Along with the studies I am equally participative in sports.
If possible, please allow me a date after 1st April 2022 as till 29th March 2022,I will be attending the functions.
I will be grateful to you if you revise my presentation date.
I hope to hear from you soon
Yours sincerely,

Structure your letter
A letter needs to be written using a proper format, including the following:
- A greeting (Dear sir/madam, Dear John, Dear Mr. Smith)
- The main body (consisting of paragraphs for each part of the letter)
- A closing (Yours sincerely, Yours faithfully, Best wishes, Kind regards, Love)
When writing a letter as part of the IELTS General Training Writing Task 1, it is important to include the bullet points presented to you in the question.
All three bullet points need to be presented. And remember that some bullet points contain more than one element. So, make sure to watch for ‘and’ and plurals.
